Each painting is made entirely with oil paint. The involvement of this painting coupled with the exceptional talent of our painters, are the keystones of the intensity and depth of our paintings.

Oil paint In the context of creating texture, oil paint is best suited to reveal the full depth of colour, as it offers great versatility. The refractive qualities of oil (the way light passes through the vehicle) provide a unique richness of colour. By mixing it, it forms a stable film which, under the right maintenance conditions, will last for many generations. Linen/cotton fabric The combination of cotton and linen gives our fabrics strength, flexibility and durability. In this way, they are resistant to tension, temperature and humidity variations. Stapling The fabrics are then stretched and fixed with staples to ensure security, durability and hold on the frames. Much more secure and durable than the seeds of yesteryear, they do not oxidise or damage the canvas if they are removed. Wooden frames with keys The frames are made of solid aspen wood, or more commonly black poplar, from sustainably managed forests (FSC certified). The frames are treated to guarantee exceptional stability and are free of any resin. All the frames (with crossbars for the largest formats) are equipped with keys to tighten the canvas in case of loosening or flapping without having to remove it. A simple mechanical action is more than sufficient. The keys are essential for the cohesion and the control of the tension of the canvas, especially for large formats and thick pictorial materials which will be more prone to loss of tension. Finally, to ensure the security of your purchase and to relieve you of this task, all paintings have their own hanging system. This is provided by two side panels and a steel cord, which will allow you to fix it to the wall.

If a painting among the proposed artists is not in our catalog or if you wish to propose a painter who practiced before the XXth century, you can submit your request and your dimensions. Our team will take care of sending you an estimate and our painters will take care of the rest.

As reproduction is legally possible only 70 years after the artist's death, when it enters the public domain, we cannot offer reproduction of artworks from the post-1950s currents, as these are still protected by copyright.

The most popular items at Galerie Mont-blanc are unquestionably Klimt's "The Kiss," Hokusai's "The Wave off Kanagawa," Mondrian's "Composition in Yellow, Red, Blue and Black," Kandinsky's "Yellow, Red, Blue," and Van Gogh's Almond Blossom, in that order of appreciation.

If requested, we will gladly ship our paintings without a wooden frame. The canvas will be rolled and tubed. This option significantly reduces the cost of production and shipping. For this type of request, please contact our customer service by email or phone.

Shipping

We take great care to wrap each of our works in bubble wrap and to secure their corners with foam corners. Finally, to ensure the stability, maintenance and protection of the painting's constituent elements, a double-fluted cardboard box will serve as a case for your work. This union of malleable materials absorbs and dampens any shocks during transport.

The possible methods of delivery depend on the quantity, the size of the article(s) ordered and the country of delivery. Galerie Mont-Blanc reserves the right to choose the carrier.

Delivery times are estimated to be fourteen working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) from receipt of the confirmation message.The time may be slightly longer where products need to be delivered to difficult to access areas. We will do our best to deliver within the timeframe stated.Despite all efforts to deliver your paintings within the timeframe defined above, delivery dates remain estimates and are therefore not guaranteed.

As soon as your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number allowing you to follow the progress of the package with our delivery service provider (i.e. DHL, UPS or La Poste depending on the country of shipment). You can then simply connect to the carrier's website to obtain information in real time.

As our paintings are shipped from Switzerland, our deliveries are currently extended to the European continent.

Postage charges vary depending on the country and delivery method as well as the number and size of works ordered. Delivery charges are indicated and applied at checkout.

Items shipped outside of Switzerland may be subject to taxes, duties and other charges in the country of destination, hereinafter referred to as "import fees". By placing an order, the recipient agrees to be designated as the importer of record in the country of receipt of the order and therefore becomes responsible for the import fees. In the case of an order placed as a gift or as an intermediary for a third party, you agree to give the above authorizations on behalf of the recipient named in your order. For details on actual import fees or to obtain documents or receipts in connection with customs clearance, you may request an estimate from our customer service department or contact the designated carrier directly which will be forwarded in your shipment confirmation.

In the event that a mishap should occur to your order, you can notify us upon receipt, taking care to provide yourself with the invoice attached by email when you call, or to attach the document to your complaint email. If your product has a proven defect, the cost of reshipping will be charged to Galerie Mont-Blanc.

Return policy and refunds

If a change of mind should occur, simply return the product in its original packaging within 14 days. In the case of damage during shipment, with proof, the costs are at our expense. In the case of a retraction, the return shipping costs are at your expense.

The deadline is 30 days from the date of receipt of the product by Galerie Mont-Blanc. The refund will be made by bank transfer.

The gift card will be sent by email immediately after the purchase. You will be able, at your convenience, to print it and present it personally to the lucky recipient or to transfer it by email.
